"Eye of the Needle" Test - 1961
Large, museum-quality, framed photos of the test run of the restaurant on top of the Space Needle by the manufacturer, Western Gear Corporation, in their Everett parking lot in 1961. The subject is a makeshift platform with table and chairs was placed on the 94.5-foot diameter ring and a waitress/model served coffee to the architect, designer and other dignitaries. With its one-horsepower motor, the turntable made one complete rotation in an hour. One photo is shot from a distance; the other is the close-up image of the staged restaurant scene. Own a part of history! At over three feet wide, these photos would be beautiful--and quite the conversation piece--in a corporate setting.

Six Iconic Seattle Framed Prints
Six pen and ink sketches by Seattle artist, Charles (Fred) Buchanan of times gone by: Seattle's Streetcar, Hiram Chittenden Locks, Consolidated Steam Locomotive in Woodland Park, Ferry Leaving Seattle, Boeing P-12's and the Kingdome. Fred was born and raised in Seattle, graduated from Ballard High School, attended UW and then served in the Navy in World War II.  He was a graphic artist for Boeing for 20 years and also did pen & inks ad oil paintings as a hobby and continued his art into his early retirement years.
